2. Engagement and Deliverables

Each engagement begins upon written confirmation (email or signed agreement) and receipt of any required deposit or payment. Deliverables typically include property analysis, component classification, and a cost segregation report based on data provided by the client or collected through inspection.
We are not responsible for inaccuracies arising from incomplete, misleading, or withheld client information.

3. Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in your proposal or invoice. All invoices must be paid as agreed prior to the release of final reports. Late payments may incur a finance charge or delay in project delivery. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete property and financial information.

  • Ensuring access to the property (if a site inspection is included).

  • Consulting their tax preparer or accountant before filing returns using cost segregation results.

We do not file taxes or assume liability for how results are used in tax filings.

5. Confidentiality

All client information and data shared with E.L. Reynolds & Associates will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of completing the contracted services. We will not disclose client information to third parties without written consent, except as required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

All templates, methodologies, calculations, and proprietary materials used to prepare reports remain the intellectual property of E.L. Reynolds & Associates.
Clients receive a license to use their specific report for tax, financial, and record-keeping purposes only.

7. Limitation of Liability

E.L. Reynolds & Associates exercises reasonable care and professional judgment in performing all services.
However, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid for that specific engagement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising from the use or reliance on our services or reports.

8. No Guarantee of Outcome

While cost segregation can result in significant tax benefits, we cannot and do not guarantee specific financial outcomes or IRS acceptance of any deduction.
Tax laws are subject to change, and clients are responsible for verifying all final applications with their tax professional.
